Playmakers are primary-aged sports leaders in years 4-6 who’ve completed a Playmaker Award. This award introduces the basic aspects of leadership, as well as highlighting the importance of sport and physical activity.
The Playmaker Award requires students to to identify examples of positive sporting role models and the characteristics of a good sports leader, as well as complete practical tasks designed to develop basic leadership skills.
Having completed the award, Playmakers provide invaluable assistance to school staff. They are equipped to lead their peers and younger students in activities such as PE lessons, after-school clubs and intra-school competitions.
