Globe Primary School was awarded the Sainsbury’s School Games Bronze Award for its performance in the 2014-15 academic year, as recognition of their commitment to and development of competition, school sport and physical education.
All Tower Hamlets schools undergo a thorough process to establish their PE and sport priorities for the year. That process is outlined in the attached document.
Globe Primary School agreed the following priorities with the Tower Hamlets Youth Sport Foundation for the 2016/17 academic year:
|To develop KS1 and KS2 gymnastics||Attend gymnastics CPD course at Bonner Mile End|
|To develop KS1 and KS2 gymnastics||Attend the cluster dance CPD course at Morpeth School|
|Develop support for a wheelchair user in Curriculum PE||One-to-one support from Troy Gering (THYSF HQPE Team Member)|
|Develop playground sports leaders||Arrange a leadership course through James Ralph, Coaching & Leadership Manager at THYSF|
The previous year’s priorities were:
|Support delivery dance for KS1 and KS2||Staff to receive support from HQPE team.|
Dance curriculum support to be delivered.
|NGT support in PE for early years||Discuss with THYSF how support is given.|
Further to this, the school has also seen the following successes, all supported by the investment of Government Primary PE and Sport Premium funding:
